Arsenal jobs: Vacancies available in media and fan services

Arsenal Emirates Stadium

A lot of football fans would love nothing more than to work for the club they support and two lucky Arsenal fans have the chance to fulfil that dream.

We tend to forget that football clubs are made-up of more than just a manager and a bunch of well-paid players who kick a ball about a couple of times a week. There are hundreds of ordinary people doing important jobs behind the scenes to help the club run smoothly and various jobs come up from time-to-time that give fans the chance to work for the club they support.

Here are a couple of vacancies currently being advertised at Arsenal:

Live Producer

The Gunners are on the look out for a new Live Producer to enhance their media team. The role is being advertised by Freelance Video Collective and it states that the main task is to develop engaging content on the clubs media platforms that entertains and informs the supporters.

The successful applicant will be responsible for producing and directing live video content, including all direct matchday studio shows, live matches and any audio content for social media platforms, so it certainly sounds like an exciting role.

The salary is ‘competitive’ and you’d be based at Highbury House in North London – although it’s worth noting that during the on-going pandemic, the Live Producer will deliver the content via a virtual studio.

The main job spec requires applicants to be degree educated with a minimum 5 years experience in the industry. Key skills needed include strong production skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, advanced knowledge of live production work flows, operating knowledge of Tricaster or similar, and a keen interest in social media and audio trends.

Fan Services Manager

Arsenal are also on the look out for a new Fan Services Manager to work in their Venue Department – which deals with the sale and fulfilment of all season and match-by-match tickets. The department is also responsible for the operational aspect of matchday’s at the Emirates Stadium to ensure fans have a safe and enjoyable trip, and for enhancing the technology at the stadium to ensure it remains world leading.

The main responsibility of the Fan Services Manager will be to lead and develop a team of Fan Service Advisors to help them deliver a top class experience for all supporters via channels including email, live chat and in person.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for overseeing the clubs customer service strategies, including the 2021 fan loyalty program, and to present analysis reports to review performance.

Previous experience in a large multi-channel customer service team is essential and applicants must also have experience using Zendesk/Freshdesk. A relevant customer service qualification is desired but not essential.

This role would also be based at Highbury House but there is no further details on salary given. You can find out more information on the ArsenalJobs website.
