Spurs man linked with European summer departure

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has been linked with a summer departure, with Italian giants Inter Milan rumoured to be interested in a deal to sign the Brazilian striker, according to a recent report from Fichajes.

Richarlison has struggled to nail down a regular place in the starting XI with Tottenham Hotspur, and has found the back of the net on just three occasions from 32 appearances this season, which doesn’t make the best of viewing for a player that cost the club upwards of £50m from Everton, where he caught the eye with plenty of strong performances that earned him a move to London. 

The impressive consistency of the likes of Harry Kane have seen Richarlison find regular minutes hard to come by though, and even with a change of manager in the second-half of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, that hasn’t seen the forward’s fortunes turnaround, much to the frustration of some of the club’s supporters, who will be disappointed by the return shown from Richarlison. 

The 26-year-old scored 53 goals in 152 appearances for Everton, and was a key man for the Merseyside-based side, who now find themselves struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table without their star forward, who has found life tough with Spurs in recent months. Positive results have proven hard to come by for Ryan Mason’s side, and they’ll be hoping that they can finish the season in a positive manner, as they battle to secure a top-six finish in the top-flight of English football.

It’ll be an interesting summer ahead for Tottenham, especially with growing pressure on Daniel Levy to leave the club, although it remains to be seen as to whether that’ll happen anytime soon. Player departures seem likely, as they look to rebuild ahead of the new Premier League season, and Richarlison seems as though he could be one of those to leave the club before the new league campaign gets underway in August.
