Bring The Comments: Liverpool Deserved Point Against Arsenal
In our second episode of ‘Bring The Comments’, we are targetting the Arsenal fans as they have had a long string of complaints about yesterday’s match so here’s me answering them.
Time Was Up
And my answer to this, absolute rubbish, as if you count up all the wasted minutes in extra time, Mariner(the referee) got it spot on. Look at it like this, Robin Van Persie’s wild celebration (50 seconds), yellow card for the Dutchman, (10 seconds), then you go to the wild debate over whether it was a penalty or a free kick (40 seconds), setting up the wall (30 seconds) then it should be play on because:
a) Arsenal didn’t clear it yet
b) It was still a goal chance
So I hope that answers those complaints
Lucas Dived
Well, I shall start this out by saying, it plainly wasn’t a dive. Couldn’t I say otherwise that Fabregas getting taken down was a dive too? He was indeed looking for it. But Lucas was pushed down by Eboue in the penalty box, isn’t that easy enough to accept? What you Gunner fans should be doing is to blame Eboue for this result, now that would logically make more sense.
Arsenal Dominated The Game
Well, the game is called football, not who’s football is the most pretty to watch. So you guys can guess where this is going. Look at it this way, both had five shots on goal, no more, no less, so that just means that Liverpool were more productive on the smaller time they had on the ball. And fact is, that Dalglish set this team up for a draw, hence a very low back line. It was his tactics that kept Arsenal out, not luck on the side of the reds, that’s rubbish.
So it’s your turn, so leave a comment in the comments section below and your arguments to what I have said or otherwise if you agree.
