Excellent Week For The Academy As Liverpool Hammer Man Utd 6-0
Well, it has been a phenomenal week for the Academy boys this week, and it wasn’t just because of the youngsters out there at the Emirates, it was much, much more.
And by that I mean the Liverpool Under 18 victory against fierce Manchester rivals, Manchester United’s Under 18s. The result, a 6-0 rout of the Red Devils. Adam Morgan boosted his credentials with (another) goal for the Liverpool Under 18s, his 13th successive scoring game.
Toni Silva and Michael Ngoo both scored two goals apiece and another prodigy, Krisztian Adorjan was also on target for the Reds. The reds are behind Merseyside rivals, Everton in the chase for the youth title.
Liverpool will be delighted with the outcome of the youth game, as they also had a successful run in the senior side, with 3 academy members taking part in first team proceedings, them being Jack Robinson, John Flanagan and Jonjo Shelvey as well as Jay Spearing
All managed to give good accounts for themselves and the future looks really bright on the youth side for Liverpool.
