Lewis-Skelly and Martinelli start: Predicted Arsenal XI vs Nottingham Forest
After claiming advantage in the first leg of the Carabao Cup against Chelsea, Arsenal will look to continue their title charge on matchday 22 of the Premier League as they face Nottingham Forest at The City Ground at 17:30 local time tomorrow.
Mikel Arteta’s men are six points clear off Manchester City atop the pile and will look to bolster their lead at the top for another matchday against Sean Dyche’s men. Here is how the visitors are expected to line up.
Goalkeeper – David Raya is expected to continue in goal for Arsenal.
Defenders – Jurrien Timber could return to right back having played on the left on Wednesday, whereas Ben White could drop out with Lewis Myles-Skelly coming in at left back. Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba are likely to round off the back four by partnering with one another in the heart of defence.
Martinelli to replace Trossard
Midfielders – Martin Zubimendi is expected to be employed as the number six for Arsenal ahead of Mikel Merino, and with Declan Rice playing the best football of his career, the Englishman is expected to feature as well in midfield having assisted a goal in the Chelsea match. Martin Odegaard could cap off an unchanged trio in midfield for the Gunners.
Forwards – Bukayo Saka is set to be given the nod on the right flank for Arsenal, while the left flank could see a change in the offing with Gabriel Martinelli coming into the team in place of Leandro Trossard. Viktor Gyokeres, who bagged a goal and an assist against Chelsea, is expected to lead the line.
Here is how the Arsenal team is expected to look on paper.
