Fabregas Speaks Out On Barcelona Transfer
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has been speaking about the latest rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona.
The Spaniard says he is ‘optimistic’ and would ‘have no problem’ if Arsenal decided to sell him this summer, but did stress that he had no news to give regarding a move.
Fabregas claims if he does move this summer it will be because Arsenal no longer want him. I’m not sure Arsenal fans would agree with that, as Cesc has made it clear he want’s a move back ‘home’ while Barcelona’s pursuit of the player has been on the cusp of stalking. So Arsenal may feel they have no choice but to grant Fabregas his wish and sell if a reasonable offer comes in.
When speaking to the press, the midfielder said:
“I’m calm and optimistic. I got nothing to say and there’s nothing I can speak of. If something happens… it’s because it has to happen,” he told press in Spain, as reported by Sport.es.
“If a player is in the market it is because his club doesn’t want him. I have no problems over that,” he concluded.
