TRANSFER NEWS: Germans Rival Spurs For Chelsea Ace
German giants Bayern Munich are the latest club to be linked with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
Reports claim that contract negotiations between Drogba and the Blues have broken down, with the Ivorian holding out for a two year deal with the club unwilling to discuss beyond a one year extension. The claims have fuelled speculation that Drogba is set to depart next summer when his current deal ends.
Chelsea currently boast up to nine strikers, so the Blues could afford to off-load Drogba, but his high wage demands could scupper interest from possible suitors.
Tottenham and Galatasaray was both keen to sign the experienced marksman in the summer, but the 33-year old decided against the moves with the hope of holding down regular first-team football with Chelsea, but he has started just two of five games for Andre Villas-Boas’ men this season and a move in the summer is becoming increasingly likely.
