Dalglish – £35m Ace Is A Long-Term Investment

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has hailed Andy Carroll’s goal scoring performance against West Bromwich Albion as the best since arriving in January.

Carroll scored Liverpool’s second during a 2-0 win, netting for the third time this season, and Dalglish feels it was the strikers best performance in a Red shirt since his £35m move from Newcastle last January. Dalglish also claims there is no added pressure on the England striker and revealed the forward has been an investment for the club.

“I think it’s Andy’s best game for us since he signed,” said Dalglish. “He was strong, powerful and technically good as well.

“We said when he came in that it was a five-year investment. I don’t see any reason to change my stance. I think he’s getting his reward now for working really hard.”
