Ajax star Christian Eriksen has revealed his desire to move to reigning European Champions Barcelona, despite interest from England.
The gifted Dane has been hailed as one of Europe’s leading prospects, with reports claiming that both Manchester City and Chelsea have entered a bidding war for the 19-year old. Despite claims the Premiership duo had offered up to £30million for the youngster, Eriksen admits he’d prefer a move to Barcelona.
“I think most footballers dream of Barcelona,” he said. “We’ll see what happens when the time comes to leave Ajax. Barcelona’s style speaks to me very much.
“A transfer to Barcelona would be great, but I have enough challenges with Ajax. I am patient and I’m in absolutely no hurry.”
