Chelsea & Liverpool Target “Proud” Of Man Utd Link

Athletic Bilbao star Javi Martinez has been left flattered with speculation that Manchester United are stepping up their interest in signing him.

The talented 23-year old has been heavily linked with a move to both Chelsea and Liverpool in recent days but its Manchester United who takes Martinez’s fancy.

The Premier League Champions are thought to have upped their interest in the midfielder and are now regarded as favourites to sign the starlet with a January move mooted. This speculation has left Martinez feeling ‘proud’ but he insists he remains happy at Bilbao:

He said: “When you hear of interest from United, you feel proud but I’m happy at Athletic.”
