Gareth Bale Fuels Barcelona Transfer Rumours

Tottenham star Gareth Bale has fuelled rumours of a move to Barcelona after welcoming the interest of the Spanish giants.

It’s been reported that Barca sent officials to watch the winger during Tottenham’s 1-3 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage two weeks ago, and are lining up a £30m move for the Welshman.

Bale has done little to quash the rumours after admitting he is flattered to be linked to a club such as Barcelona, although he did round off by saying he’s enjoying his football in North London:

“It’s always nice being linked with clubs such as Barcelona – it’s great to be linked with a team like that,” Bale told the Daily Post.

“I’m enjoying my football at Spurs and I don’t really take much notice of what is written about interest from other clubs.”
