Arsenal have been dealt another injury blow after Arsene Wenger confirmed young starlet Ryo Miyaichi has been sidelined for four to six weeks with an ankle injury.

The Japanese wonderkid is highly regarded in North London after a very successful loan spell last year with Feyenoord. Miyaichi has only recently returned to fitness and was hoping to get a run out in the Carling Cup this season as well as gaining some more Champions League experience.

However, it looks like the 18-year-old will have now have to wait until the New Year to make his mark on the first team after boss Arsene Wenger confirmed at yesterdays press conference that he has picked up an ankle injury that will rule him out for four to six weeks. Wenger said of Miyaichi:

He has an ankle sprain and will be out four to six weeks.

The news comes as another blow to Wenger after seeing both Keiran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson ruled out through injuries picked up during the international break.
