Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs Linked With €8m Samba Star
Tottenham Hotspur are tracking Brazilian centre back Claudinho, according to Sky Sports News, and are lining up a bid for the €8m rated defender.
With January just around the corner the transfer rumours are coming in thick and fast. One of the latest comes from Sky Sports News, who have linked Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Brazilian centre back Claudinho.
The North Londoners have apparently been alerted to the form of Claudinho and have scouted the player during his last three matches for Brazilian club side Cruzeiro. It’s believed the scouts have sent back glowing reports on the 21-year-old and this could prompt Spurs in to stepping up their interest.
However, Tottenham will face stiff competition for his signature with Serie A outfits Udinese and Fiorentina both thought to be interested. Claudinho’s current contract expires in December 2013, and Cruzeiro value him at around €8million.
This latest piece of transfer news is hardly going to set the hearts racing amongst Spurs fans, as few would have even heard of Claudinho. But it’s always nice to be linked with a Brazilian with a fancy name. Football Talk rate this rumour are highly unlikely to happen.
