Mario Gotze Transfer Update….

The race for Mario Gotze has intensified today after Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool all joined Arsenal in the race for the £30m rated star.

The race for Mario Gotze has intensified after Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool have all joined the race for the German star.

Arsenal were thought to be favourites to sign the talented playmaker after tracking him for over a year. Arsene Wenger made several enquiries during the summer but Borussia Dortmund refused to do business, with their Champions League participation cited as a key reason.

Dortmund have since crashed out of the Champions League at the group stages, finishing bottom of their group, so will have no European football to look forward to in the New Year. It’s therefore hoped by potential suitors that the Germans will be willing to let Gotze leave in January.

Reports in several news outlets have claimed that Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd have all also been tracking the 19-year-old, and will step up their interest should the German giants decide to sell. It’s believed Dortmund would consider cashing in if they receive a bid of around £30m.

Gotze has previously stated that he would love to join either Arsenal or Real Madrid when he does leave Germany, but the Gunners have been put off by the huge asking price and now risk losing out on their top transfer target to a rival club. Although the Premier League quartet face competition from the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for the playmakers signature.
