Spurs Midfielder – “I Wouldn’t Be Interested If A Club Came In For Me In January”
Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar insists he’s not interested in moving clubs during the January transfer window, despite speculation over his future.
Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar insists he’s not interested in moving clubs during the January transfer window.
Kranjcar was speaking ahead of last nights Europa League tie with Shamrock, which the Londoners won 4-0, and claims he’s happy at White Hart Lane despite losing his first team place.
The Croatian has only managed three Premier League appearances so far this season, although he has been hampered by a troublesome thigh injury.
It’s been reported that the 27-year-old would seek a move this winter in order to find regular first team football, but Kranjcar has insisted he’s only focussed on regaining his fitness and challenging for a place in the Spurs team:
“I’m not one to knock on the manager’s door [to complain],” Kranjcar said.
“I have always said I am happy to be part of the squad at Tottenham because I think it is an unbelievable place.
“I would not really be interested if a club came in for me in January.
“I was out for most of the season so I probably would not think about anything else other than getting into top shape and pushing for a place.
“I really haven’t had any thoughts on what might or might not happen in January. I am happy [at Tottenham].”
