Branca: – “No Discussions Regarding Wesley Sneijder”
Inter Milan’s sporting director Marco Branca has denied reports linking them with a swap deal involving Wesley Sneijder and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez
Inter Milan have denied reports linking them with a swap deal involving Wesley Sneijder and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
Sneijder was thought to be close to signing for City’s rivals Manchester United in the summer, and the Dutchman has once again been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks.
Reports have claimed that Inter are now ready to listen to offers for the playmaker, who they now value at around £25m.
Inter Milan officials have been in the UK this past week to meet with City over a possible move for want-a-way striker Carlos Tevez and some reports suggested the two parties had discussions over a potential swap deal involving Tevez and Sneijder.
However, sporting director Marco Branca has denied that Sneijder was discussed during their meeting with City.
“There were no discussions whatsoever regarding Wesley Sneijder today during our meeting in London with representatives of Manchester City,” Branca told the club’s official website.
It seems certain that Tevez will join Inter’s rivals AC Milan, while the future of Sneijder remains un-known with Man Utd still thought to be monitoring his situation.
