Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has denied reports linking him with a move away from the club, insisting he’s happy at the Emirates.

The ever-reliable Daily Star reported today that Oxe was “desperate” to leave on loan this month in order to gain first team experience, after becoming frustrated at the lack of playing time during the first half of the season.

However, the 18-year-old moved quickly to deny these reports using his personal Twitter account to say the rumours were “completely false” and he “couldn’t be happier at Arsenal”:

I didn’t take any notice of these reports myself, as it’s unlikely a young guy like Alex would be complaining after starting, and scoring in, a Champions League game as well as making several Cup and League appearances during his first 5 months at a club like Arsenal.

In fact, i’m sure things have gone far better than even he could have expected, so these rumours were always going to be wide of the mark in my opinion. A loan move may not be a bad idea in truth, but it’s unlikely Chamberlain would demand the move or is in anyway unhappy at Arsenal, as the Star was trying to make out.
