Man Utd play Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday looking to keep the pressure on league leaders Man City.

United currently sit two points behind their rivals and City are strong favourites to collect all three points when they host Blackburn Rovers at home on Saturday, so a win for Fergie’s men could be vital on Sunday.

Norwich are in decent form of late having lost only one of their previous six league games, and find themselves eight in the league table, but United have a formidable away record losing just once in their last 13 away games.

Team News

Sir Alex Ferguson will give Wayne Rooney as long as possible to prove his fitness having sat out Thursday’s defeat to Ajax with a throat infection. Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov are all on standby should the England striker not make it.

United are still without the services of Anders Lindegaard, Nemanja Vidic, Antonio Valencia, Anderson, Darren Fletcher and Michael Owen, who are all injured. Nani came through the Ajax game unscathed so should start.

Norwich will be missing Daniel Ayala, Marc Tierney and Jonny Howson but defender Zak Whitbread should return.
