Chelsea secured a vital three points after an injury time winner from Juan Mata helped them overcome Wigan 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. The home side took the lead in controversial circumstances when Branislav Ivanovic scored from an offside position, but the Latics hit back with just 5 minutes left when Diame scored a 20-yard screamer to levels things at 1-1. With both sides going for the winner, it was Chelsea who got it two minutes into injury time when a Fernando Torres volley struck the post and Juan Mata was on hand to tap home.
