Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has ruled out a summer move despite interest from several Premier League clubs, according the talkSPORT.
Eriksen has become one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe after breaking into the Ajax first team as a 17-year-old in January 2010. The exciting midfielder has gone on to play over 70 games for the Dutch champions and has attracted interest from a host of top clubs.
talkSPORT claim that the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham have all been tracking the 20-year-old, with potential bog money summer bids being lined up.
However, Eriksen, who is currently away on international duty with the Danish squad at Euro 2012, has ruled out a move away from Ajax this summer. The central midfielder has insisted his priority is to continue his development in Amsterdam for another season, then consider his future in the summer of 2013.
Quoted by talkSPORT, Eriksen said:
“I think it’s worth spending another year at Ajax because what really interests me now is to play and grow as a player.
“I do not need to risk anything and take a wrong step in my career. We’ll see what can happen in summer of 2013.”
