Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski made an impressive debut for his new club following his move from Cologne earlier this summer.
The German ace was handed his first start against his former side and was given a warm reception by both sets of supports. However, it was the travelling Arsenal faithful that were left excited by the strikers performance.
He was replaced after 69 minutes by want-away captain Robin van Persie after scoring a penalty and a well taken second as the 27-year-old put in an encouraging debut display.
