Liverpool are hoping to tempt Tottenham’s Peter Crouch back to Anfield with a bid of £10 million pounds.

Roy Hodgson is anxious to add more firepower to his squad before the start of the new season and hopes he can persuade Harry Rednapp to release the England striker from his team.

It is believed that that Crouchy is willing to return to his former club and has the full support of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, in fact, they are both urging the manager to make the bid.

Would you like to see Crouch back at Anfield?

Spurs get in champ league QUALIFIERS for the first and only time and they think they are a good team. Spurs remind me of Everton when the got there the same will happen knocked out by the young boys but sure they are just a pile of jews

Wow, how deluded and deranged are you. This is 1st time you’re in champs league and your banging on like you’re gonna win it, and trust me you will go nowhere in it. How many players you been linked with over the summer? And how many you signed? Take Joe Cole for example, you wanted him, could offer champs league football and he still went to the mighty reds. Watch you slide down the league this year to 7th or 8th you chump. We got no future?? At least 2 serious investors fighting it out for the club with very deep pockets so excuse me but i think our future is looking rosy, well as rosy as “backhand” Harry Redknapps face anyway! Plus i think our debt is a little over £235m, you thinking of Man ure with that debt son.

I’m spurs & totally embarrassed by mattspurs comments. whilst I found your demise very funny last season and I hope you slip further, please don’t think that mattspurs is a typical spurs fan. most are grounded by the fact that we’ve been such failures for the best part of 50 years.

I don’t know why every thinks after the poor season we (liverpool) had last season that thats the end and were a poor team. We just underachieved ridiculously. the unsertainty around the ownership and rafa with no communication witht he squad just made things worse. the squad that was walking all over everyone and we finished 2nd has only been improved upon. Yes we played very bad last season, but the squad we have got is good enough to do much much better. And now with roy gettin the players feeling good again, he communicates with the players and everyone knows where they stand with him. Signing crouch to let torres rest now n again so we can keep him fit. I would be very surprised if we never came top four this year. I think tottenham are a good team. but lets see how the quad copes travelling Europe whilst trying to play the following saturday an keep near the top of the table. I think you will be surprised the impact the extra games will have on the fatigue of the players. Spurs will have a Very very tough season if they want to get out of the group stages.

im looking forward to the season, lets see in may if “Mattspurs” is shouting his mouth so readily. Bigger an Better than we will eve be?! hahaha that one made me laugh.
