Etienne Capoue could be set for a move to London with the Metro reporting that Arsenal and Chelsea are weighing up £8m bids for the Toulouse midfielder.
The report claims the London duo have sent scouts to run-the-rule over the highly-rated Frenchman in recent months and are understood to be lining-up bids worth in the region of £8 million.
However, the newspaper suggests the pair may have to dig a little deeper if they’re to have a chance of landing the 24-year-old tough-tackling midfielder. While Toulouse are understood to be resigned to losing Capoue, the Ligue 1 outfit are said to want in excess of £12m for the player who has two-and-a-half years left on his current contract.
I would personalty love to see Capoue in the Premier League as I’ve been hugely impressed with what I’ve seen of him so far in his career. I regard him as one of the best talents in France and I’d say he’s a better bet than his international colleague Yann M’Vila.

At 6 foot 2 inches, the all-action midfielder has the physical presence to deal with the rough and tumble of Premiership football.
Arsenal could certainly do with a defensive midfielder after failing to replace Alex Song in the summer, and Chelsea could also be on the look-out for a replacement for Oriol Romeu who’s been ruled out for the season with a knee injury, and the duo could do a lot worse than looking to Capoue.
The Metro believe there is an interest there in the player form the Gunners and the Blues, so hopefully one of them will follow up that reported interest and bring him to England as he could be a huge hit on these shores.
