Dutch Midfielder Heading To North London This Summer?
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle it out to try and sign Dutch international starlet Jordy Clasie at the end of the season.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle it out to try and sign Dutch starlet Jordy Clasie this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The 21-year-old has become one of the most promising young midfielders in the Eredivisie after forcing his way into Feyenoord’s first team over the last 18 months and has excellent in the middle of the park this campaign.
His impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed throughout Europe with talkSPORT claiming the defensive midfielder has attracted interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Tottenham, but the north London rivals may face competition from Fiorentina with the Italians understood to have already opened talks with the players agent over a potential move to Serie A.
The report suggests Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could see Clasie as the perfect foil for Jack Wilshere and is set to follow up his interest with a firm bid at the end of the season, but Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is also believed to be a fan as he looks for a long-term replacement for Scott Parker.

Following a successful loan spell at Excelsior, Clasie made his debut for Feyenoord in 2011 and has gone to make 98 appearances for the club. After representing Holland at U-18, U-19 and U-21 level he earned his first senior cap for the Dutch national team in February 2012 and has 3 caps to his name so far.
