Arsenal and Tottenham are set to go head-to-head over the signature of Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann but could face stiff competition from Spanish giants Barcelona, according to the Express.
The 22-year-old French under-21 international has been in superb form this season for Sociedad, who have been one of the surprise packages in La Liga and currently sit fourth in the table.
The Express claims that Arsenal and Tottenham have been eyeing Greizmann for some time now and are lining up summer bids but it looks like the north London duo will also have to fight off interest from Barcelona with the Spanish giants tipped to make a move for the exciting winger if Alexis Sanchez leaves the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
The report suggests Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer of Greizmann’s and made his first enquiry for the player back in 2010 when Sociedad were in the Spanish second division, but Spurs boss AVB has also been tracking the Frenchman’s progress but the pair may have to dig deep to sign him with the winger believed to have a £25m release clause in his contract.

It’s unlikely that any club would be willing to meet that kind of figure for a player who’s not even earned his first senior cap for France yet, but it looks like it’s going to be increasingly difficult for Sociedad to hang on to one of their main assets for much longer if he continues to impress during the second half of the season.
