Shaw Fuels Chelsea Move Rumours After Naming Blues As His Favourite Team In Twitter Q&A
Southampton left-back Luke Shaw has fueled speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea after making a series of revelations during a Twitter Q&A this weekend
Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Luke Shaw fuels rumours he could be on his way to Chelsea.
Southampton defender Luke Shaw has fuelled speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea after a series of revelations during a Twitter Q&A this weekend, according to the Daily Mail.
Shaw has been hugely impressive during his debut season in the Premier League, starting in 20 of Southampton’s 29 league games so far as the South Coast club fight to stay in the top flight for another year.
The Metro claimed last week that his impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all understood to be keen on the talented 17-year-old but it seems the Blues may have the edge on their London rivals after the left-back made a series of admissions during a Twitter question and answer session. Here’s a few snippets that have fuelled speculation that he could be on the move to Stamford Bridge:
Q: Apart from Southampton who’s your favourite team?
A: Chelsea
Q: Favourite colour
A: Blueeeeee
Q: Best player you have swapped shirts with this season?
A: Ashley Cole
This is not the first time Shaw has admitted his liking of Chelsea. The Mail claim that back in January, the young defender – who grew up just 5 minutes from Chelsea’s Cobham training ground – admitted he was a Blues fan and said he couldn’t wait to play at Stamford Bridge this season.

With Ashley Cole now 32, it might not be long before Chelsea start to look for a long-term replacement and they could do a lot worse than Shaw. While he’s still raw, he’s has made huge strides already this season and would no doubt benefit greatly from the experience that Cole could pass on if he made the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
