The draw for the Semi Final’s of the Europa League took place on Friday lunchtime and Chelsea will play FC Basel who beat Tottenham Hotspur in the last round.

The Blues are England’s sole European representatives after securing their place in the last four of the Europa League despite losing the second leg 3-2 away at Rubin Kazan on Thursday night. Rafa Benitez men eventually won the tie 5-4 on aggregate thanks to a 3-1 win in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week.
The west Londoners have been installed as favourites to win the competition and have been rewarded with a semi final clash against FC Basel, who reached the last four after beating Tottenham 4-1 on penalties after the game finished 4-4 on aggregate.
The first leg will be played away in Switzerland on the 25th April with Chelsea hopefully taking a positive result back to Stamford Bridge for the second leg on the 2nd May. The winners will face either Fenerbache or Benfica in the final.
