Edinson Cavani’s mother claims the Napoli striker wants a move this summer with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City understood to be interested, according to the Express.
Cavani has become one of the most sought-after strikers in the world after scoring 97 goals in 139 appearances for the Serie A outfit following his move from Palermo in 2010.
It appears his impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed here in the Premier League with the Express claiming Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all keen on luring him to England this summer, although the trio may face stiff competition from Real Madrid with the Spanish giants also said to be in the hunt.
Potential suitors have now been boosted after the 26-year-old’s own mother, Berta Gomez, revealed that her son wants a move this summer but doesn’t know where he’ll end up if he does leave.
“He told me he wants to go elsewhere and to leave Napoli.”
“Edi doesn’t know what will happen yet. Naples is a city that lives for football. The affection of the people is marvellous and I have always told my son: ‘you can go anywhere – but nobody will love you like they do at Napoli’.” Cavani’s mother is quoted as saying by the Express

Cavani would certainly be an excellent signing for any club if he were to leave Napoli this summer but interested parties would have to dig deep if they want to sign him. If it comes down to money it will be difficult to see Arsenal competing with the likes of City and Chelsea while any player will find it difficult to turn down the advances of the mighty Madrid.
But if he does move on this summer I’d love to see him come to the Premiership as he’d be a hugely exciting addition to the league.
