Transfer Blow As Angel Di Maria Rules Out Move
Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs have received a blow to their hopes of signing Angel Di Maria after the attacker confirmed his desire to remain at Real Madrid.
As we enter the final stages of the summer transfer window, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Angel Di Maria reiterates he wants to stay at Real Madrid.
Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have received a blow to their hopes of signing Angel Di Maria this summer after the attacker confirmed his desire to remain at Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports News.
The future of the Argentinean ace has been called into question this summer with Madrid reportedly willing to cash in on the 25-year-old in order to raise funds for their pursuit of Gareth Bale.
Reports have suggested that Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are all keeping a close eye on the players situation and would be keen to bring him to the Premier League if was available for transfer.
However, even if the clubs are able to strike a deal with Madrid it seems they are going to have their work cut out in trying to persuade Di Maria to make the switch, with the player insisting he wants to remain at the Bernabeu.
“I understand that the club is strengthening and they are precise in what they do,”
“But I signed up to 2018 just a year ago and my desire is to stay in the Bernabeu.” Di Maria is quoted as saying by Sky Sports
So it appears that Di Maria would be reluctant to leave the Spanish giants this summer and he made a statement of intent by putting in a MOTM display against Granada on Monday, but the good news for the likes of Arsenal, United and Spurs is that it might not be the player choice whether he leaves or not.
If Madrid are desperate to raise money, Di Maria could find himself forced out the door if the a club makes a suitable offer. Of course much will depend on the future of Bale and I feel we’ll start to see things move when/if that deal goes through.
