Arsenal secured a vital 1-0 win over Tottenham in the north London derby on Sunday afternoon with Olivier Giroud proving to be the match-winner.
Arsenal had the better of the first half and opened the scoring when Giroud tucked away Walcott’s cut-back in expert fashion with the outside of his left boot. Spurs rallied and enjoyed the majority of the play in the second period but couldn’t find a way past a resolute Gunners defence.
