I agree, just imagine if Napoli turn out to be really poor and Torres manages to bag a couple of goals what that would do for is, and Liverpool’s, confidence! Yes the PL is more important, but he needs to look at the bigger picture. At every turn Hodgson seems to stick his foot in his mouth and I hope the new owners are seeing this? I have never felt like this about one of our managers (well not so quickly) and its annoying to have to do so, but he needs to go NOW!!!

Are we playing the reigning league champions or reigning European champions on Sunday? I ask because we are resting key players and talking of it as a ‘must win’ game as if there is any doubt that we will beat Blackburn. This typifies the negativity that Hodgson has brought to the club- we are playing a Blackburn team that we should be able to see off easily and suddenly we are talking as if there is a doubt about that. Our long-term priority needs to be to get rid of the mediocrity that Hodgson represents, if that means losing against Blackburn on Sunday then that match is not a ‘must win’ but a ‘must lose’ match. I hate to have to express such thoughts, and this goes totally against my nature, but I’m hoping that we lose really heavily tonight against Napoli- that way we can still recover in the Europa cup under a new manager and we wouldn’t have to lose on Sunday to get rid of Hodgson. If he strings together a couple of results the owners might stick with him and allow him to waste the January transfer money. There is no way this guy is good enough to manage Liverpool- he never will be.

Roy MUST go… If NESV does not want to lose their investment, they need to bring their man and get rid of this man called Roy… Torres to Man U of all clubs? This is not what Liverpool is about… I cant imagine Rooney coming to Liverpool.. SAF will NEVER sell him to us.. but Roy is promoting the sale of Torres to Man U? I can NEVER support this man.

Couldn’t agree more. His lack of conviction scares me it feels like we’re going backwards.. but when you look at the table there isn’t much further back you can get in the Premier League..
Realistically tho, it’s early in the season and if we turn the corner now we can still qualify for Europe.

This is the first time that I’ve seen any manager tap up their own players. Thanks Roy, but it’s time for you to go. Please do the dignified thing and go. Don’t become another hicks or gillet and overstay your welcome.
