Ozil, Wilshere, Ramsey + More: Arsenal Players React On Twitter To Win Over Spurs
Here’s what Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Lukas Podolski and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had to say after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Spurs.
Arsenal beat North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon thanks to an early strike from Tomas Rosicky.
The win sees the Gunners move to within four points of league leaders Chelsea while also opening up a nine point advantage from fifth-placed Spurs, putting us in strong position to secure a top-four finish once again this season.
After the game, several Arsenal players took to Twitter to react to the win. Captain Per Mertesacker and attacker Lukas Podolski celebrated the vital derby win while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain praised the amazing travelling fans before holding his hands up after missing a great chance to make it 2-0 in the first half.
Injured stars Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey didn’t make the trip to the Lane as they continue to recover from their respective injuries, but they also enjoyed the win.
