Arsenal + Liverpool Join Reds In Hunt For Unsettled €43m-Rated Attacker

As we approach the opening of the summer window clubs will be intensifying their efforts in the transfer market so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Arsenal and Liverpool join the race for Thomas Muller.
Arsenal and Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race for unsettled Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller, according to reports in Germany today.
Muller has been with Bayern since he was 11-years-old and progressed through their youth system before breaking into the first team in 2008. He’s since gone on to become a vital member of the squad and has made over 250 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, winning a whole host of trophies along the way including the Champions League and three league titles.
However, the 24-year-old has seen his stature fade under new boss Pep Guardiola this season and he’s been left out for key games, particularly in Europe, and it appears the attacker is growing increasingly unsettled at the Allianz Arena.
Reports in German outlet Bild claim that Muller is unhappy at his role in the Bayern squad and is now considering pushing for a move this summer, and understandably it looks like he’s not going to be short of offers.
The newspaper suggests that Arsenal and Liverpool have joined Manchester United in showing a keen interest in bringing the German international to the Premier League, while there will also be interest from Spain and Italy.
Speculation earlier in the week claimed that Louis van Gaal will be confirmed as Man Utd’s new manager in the coming days and is expected to be busy in the transfer market rebuilding the squad, with Muller believed to be one of his key targets, but it looks like the deposed Premier League champions will now face stiff competition form their domestic rivals.
Arsenal are expected to be on the look-out for a new striker to support Olivier Giroud next season while Liverpool are also going to be active strengthening their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League, and Muller would be an excellent signing for either club.
However, Bayern are unlikely to welcome interest in the versatile attacker and with over three years still remaining on his current contract, it’s understood that the club would demand around €43m (£35m) for his services.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this one develops because Muller would be a major coup should any of the English trio manage to land the German international. But despite the speculation, I would still be majorly surprised if the player was to leave his boyhood team this summer.
