Liverpool + Man Utd Make Offers For Want-Away La Liga Star
reports in Chile claim that Liverpool and Man Utd have made offers for want-away Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez and the player is keen on moving to England.
As we approach the opening of the summer window clubs will be intensifying their efforts in the transfer market so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, news of Liverpool and Man Utd’s interest in Alexis Sanchez.
Some exciting news for Liverpool and Manchester United fans as reports in Chile claim that they are among the clubs to have made offers for want-away Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez and the player is keen on moving to England.
According to Chilean newspaper COPE, local journalist Rodrigo Norambuena – who has worked for Fox Sports – has claimed that Sanchez isn’t happy at Barcelona due to his frosty relationship with goldenboy Lionel Messi and he’s asked his agent to find him a new club.
Apparently the pairs relationship is so tense they don’t even congratulate each other when they score, with the report citing an example where Messi was the only Barca player who failed to celebrate with Sanchez after he scored a brace in a Champions League clash last season.
Barcelona are understood to be willing to cash-in on the attacking midfielder as he’s not believed to feature in new boss Luis Enrique’s first team plans for his new-look side next year, and understandably he’s been linked with a whole host of European sides.
Much of the speculation in recent days has suggested that Juventus were close to sealing a deal for the 25-year-old. However, while Norambuena concedes the Serie A champions have made an offer, he suggests that Sanchez would actually favour a move to England and has offers from Liverpool, Manchester United as well as Arsenal.
Liverpool and United have both been linked with the Chilean international in recent weeks and news of offers being put on the table is sure to excite the fans of both clubs. Sanchez is undoubtedly one of the most sought after players on the market this summer and he’d be an excellent addition for any team.
Brendan Rodgers is looking to build a squad capable of competing in the Champions League next season and Sanchez is certainly the type of player he’ll be looking to bring to Anfield this summer to complement the attacking talents of Suarez, Sturridge, et al.

New United boss Louis van Gaal is expected to be busy in the market as he tries to rebuild the deposed champions squad following a disastrous year, and a player of Sanchez’s caliber is sure to bring a smile back to the Old Trafford faithful.
However, with Arsenal now also understood to be in the running along with Italian giants Juventus, the competition is fierce and I’m sure the players price-tag is increasing by a few million pounds every time he puts in a star showing at the World Cup, so clubs are going to have to dig deep if they want to sign him.
