[Tweets] Shaw, Rojo, Herrera + More: Players React On Twitter To Man Utd Win
Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, David De Gea and Ander Herrera all reacted on Twitter to Manchester United’s win over West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester United held on to secure a 2-1 win over West Ham at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon despite Wayne Rooney being sent off for kicking out at Stewart Downing.
United took a two-goal lead as Rooney stroked home Rafael’s fifth minute cross for 1-0 before Robin van Persie found the bottom corner with a right-footed effort in the 22nd minute to double the hosts advantage.
West Ham made it 2-1 just before half time when Sakho was on hand to head home a loose ball in the box but United held on despite Rooney being given his marching orders after kicking out at Steward Downing off the ball.
After the game, several players took to Twitter to react to the win with the likes of Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera all expressing their delight at securing a vital three points, while goalkeeper David De Gea celebrated making his 100th league appearance for the club.
