Manchester United will be looking to build some momentum in the Premier League when they take on Hull City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. This is the team we think Louis van Gaal will select:
Goalkeeper: He was absolutely outstanding during last weeks 2-1 win at Arsenal and no doubt David De Gea will continue in goal for United this weekend.
Defence: van Gaal continues to have problems at the back with Luke Shaw facing another spell out with an ankle injury. It means Ashley Young is expected to step in at left wing-back while Antonio Valencia should keep his place on the right with Rafael also missing. Jonny Evans could be in contention having played 60 minutes for the reserves in midweek but this game could come too soon. Marcos Rojo is back in training but wont be considered tomorrow so Chris Smalling, Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair should keep their places at the back.
Midfield: Marouane Fellaini appears to have played his way into van Gaal’s starting eleven so he’s favourite ahead of Ander Herrera and Darren Fletcher to start alongside Michael Carrick in midfield. Daley Blind remains out through injury.
Attack: The big question mark is whether van Gaal will drop out-of-form striker Robin van Persie and all the signs are suggesting that youngster James Wilson will start alongside Wayne Rooney up front to take the beleaguered Dutchman out the firing line. Angel Di Maria will continue to support in attack.
So this is how we think United will line-up this weekend:
What do you think of the team? What side would you put out?
