Di Maria Misses Out: Predicted Man Utd Starting XI To Face Newcastle

Manchester United will be looking to extend their unbeaten run when they take on Newcastle at Old Trafford on Boxing Day. Here is the side we think Louis van Gaal will select:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea has been United’s most consistent performer this season and there’s no chance van Gaal will leave him out.
Defence: The Dutch coach has gone with three at the back of late and it looks like he’ll continue to do so again on Friday. This should once again see Michael Carrick continue at the back alongside Phil Jones and Jonny Evans. Chris Smalling could return to the squad but Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw remain out injured.
Midfield: With Carrick in defence and Daley Blind still unavailable, Darren Fletcher should continue in midfield with Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young keeping their places in the wing-back roles. Wayne Rooney is expected to be deployed in a deeper role but Angel Di Maria is likely to be named among the substitutes again as he continues to work his way back to full fitness following a hamstring injury. This should see Juan Mata retain his place in the side.
Attack: With Rooney in midfield, Radamel Falcao should continue alongside Robin van Persie up front with the Colombian getting himself on the score-sheet during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.
Here is how I think we’ll see United line-up:
What do you think of the team and what eleven would you pick?
