Arsenal Or Man Utd? €25m Target Confirms When He’ll Choose New Club
Arsenal and Man United will soon learn their fate as Marco Reus has confirmed he’ll choose which club he’ll be joining this summer by the beginning of April
The January transfer window is now closed but that won’t stop the newspapers from speculating ahead of the summer so we’ll bring you all the news and gossip. Today, Arsenal and Man Utd target Marco Reus discusses his future….
Arsenal and Manchester United will soon learn their fate as Marco Reus has confirmed he’ll choose which club he’ll be joining this summer by the beginning of April, according to the Mirror.
Reus is arguably the most sought-after player in Europe this summer due to the fact a €25m (£20m) buy-out clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract kicks in at the end of the season, and with Jurgen Klopps men sitting bottom of the Bundesliga table, I’m sure he’ll be eager to see it activated!
That kind of money is an absolute bargain in today’s over-inflated market so it’s understandable that there is a long queue of interested clubs waiting to lure him away from the Westfalenstadion at the earliest opportunity.
Among them are Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United with reports strongly linking the pair with Reus in recent months. Speculation just last week suggested that Reus was favouring a move to the Emirates as he wanted link-up with Arsene Wenger but fresh reports claim United are confident they’ve won the race for his signature after holding talks in January.
Who knows how much truth there is behind any of these reports but thankfully it looks like we might not have to wait too much longer to find out where Reus will be playing next season.
The Mirror are carrying quotes from the attacker which originate form Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, where Reus reveals that he’ll soon make a decision over his future. When asked by the newspaper when he’ll choose his next club, he reportedly said:
“at the end of March, beginning of April.”
Barcelona are another club who’ve been linked but when quizzed about a potential move to the Nou Camp, the 25-year-old appeared to ruled out a move to the Catalans after saying:
“And where would I play?”
“Where would I play in this Barcelona where the attack is made up of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar?” Reus is quoted as saying by the Mirror
It’s certainly a fair question but also irrelevant as Barcelona are no longer in the running this summer due to their transfer embargo not ending until January 2016.
So with Barca out the race, Arsenal and Manchester United appear well placed. The big competition is likely to come from Real Madrid and Bayern Munich – although there have been reports in Germany claiming that Pep Guardoila has ended his interest.

There’s no doubt Reus would be a sensational signing for Arsenal or United and I’d love to see him come to the Premier League this summer, and by the sounds of it we should know within a couple of months whether that dream could come true.
