Manchester United will look to cement their place in the top three of the Premier League when they take on West Ham at Upton Park on Sunday afternoon. Here’s the starting eleven I think Louis van Gaal will go with:
Goalkeeper: David De Gea has been one of United’s most consistent players this season and there’s virtually no chance he won’t start the game.
Defence: van Gaal made three changes to his defence for the midweek FA Cup win over Cambridge United so he could recall the likes of Phil Jones, Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia this weekend. Marcos Rojo is the only one likely to keep his place although Paddy McNair will feel unfortunate if he drops out after impressing in midweek.
Midfield: With Michael Carrick out injured, Daley Blind should continue in the holding role while Marouane Fellaini is expected to keep his place to add some physicality against a tough West Ham side. Angel Di Maria could be the third man in the midfield trio although he could inter-change with Wayne Rooney throughout the match.
Attack: Robin van Persie should keep his place up front while Radamel Falcao is expected to be recalled after being an unused substitute on Tuesday night.
Here is how I think we’ll see United line-up:
What do you think of the team and what eleven would you pick?
