These 3 Arsenal Players Blasted By Team Mates Following Defeat At Brighton

Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi came under fire from their team mates following Arsenal’s defeat at Brighton on Sunday afternoon, according to the Sun.

We slumped to our fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions with another inept performance at the Amex Stadium which has intensified calls for Arsene Wenger to walk away from the club.

That’s highly unlikely to happen before the end of the season but it seems the boss is facing a battle to restore team spirit among the squad with players now playing the blame-game and pointing the finger at each other.

The Sun claims that many of the Arsenal players turned on Ozil in the dressing room after the game for going missing on Sunday and for not stepping-up when we needed him the most.

Mkhitaryan has also come under fire as the report says our January signing was called out by his team mates for not tracking his runners and together with Ozil, our playmakers are seen as being a ‘soft touch’ which is being exploited by our opponents.

The third player to be singled out for criticism is Mustafi with the Sun claiming that the Arsenal players are fed-up with the centre-back trying to pass blame on to others for his own mistakes.

It’s safe to say the club is in a total mess but I don’t think it’s right for just three players to be singled out for blame as EVERY player should be ashamed with themselves right now.

However, obviously the manager is the one who has to take responsibility and it seems like the players are just not listening to Wenger anymore or he’s not even giving them the right instructions.

The Sun report says we went in to the Brighton game with no specific game-plan as Wenger had failed to prepare the squad to deal with the opposition and no proper insight was given.

Instead, the newspaper says Wenger wanted the players to figure it out themselves and he rarely reviews games with the squad to tell them where they’ve gone wrong or what to work on.

We’ve heard these things from former players so there has to be some truth behind it all and it’s becoming increasingly clear that Wenger just isn’t the manager he used to be and it’s time he left Arsenal.
