[Tweet] Tottenham Favourite Mocks Arsenal After Gunners Lose To Newcastle

Tottenham favourite Gary Lineker has mocked Arsenal on Twitter following their latest defeat away to Newcastle United this afternoon.
Arsenal looked to be heading towards their first away point of 2018 after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found Alexandre Lacazette with a superb cross and the Frenchman volleyed home for 0-1 in the 14th minute at St James’ Park.
However, the Geordies turned things around with Ayoze Perez levelling things up before Matt Ritchie won it for the north-east giants midway through the second half.
It consigned Arsenal to their fifth consecutive away defeat and leaves the north Londoners without a single point on the road since the turn of the year – which is the lowest tally in any of England’s top four divisions.
Lineker – who scored 67 goals during a three-year spell at Tottenham between 1989 and 1992 – took the opportunity to stick the boot in after mocking the Gunners on Twitter for battling with Burnley for sixth/seventh place.
The former striker said:
Stay strong Arsenal fans. Still feel you’re capable of finishing above Burnley.

Arsenal’s latest defeat leaves them sitting sixth in the table and 13 points adrift of Tottenham but Burnley are just two points behind so Arsene Wenger’s men are in danger of finishing below Sean Dyche’s minnows.
The Gunners are now certain to miss out on the top four for the second consecutive season but they could still salvage something for the season and qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
