Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield to put them within touching distance of the premier league title. Goals from Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard sealed a relatively comfortable win for Chelsea who are just will definitely win the title if they beat Wigan on the last day, regardless of United’s results.

Liverpool gifted Chelsea the opening goal, Steven Gerrard’s back pass being was intercepted by Drogba to round Riena and slot home to give the Blues a first half lead. Then Frank Lampard tapped home from close range early in the second half to seal the game.
