Liverpool will be looking to give their top four hopes a major boost when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s this afternoon.

Brendan Rodgers has surprisingly left Daniel Sturridge on the bench with Raheem Sterling starting up front while Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho support him in attack.

Mamadou Sakho misses out with a hip injury so Dejan Lovren comes in to start against his former side in defence while Lazar Markovic and Jordon Ibe start on the wings with Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen in midfield.
