[Video] Watch Wayne Rooney Get Knocked Out By Phil Bardsley In His Kitchen

Amazing footage has emerged this morning showing Wayne Rooney getting knocked out by Phil Bardsley in the Manchester United strikers home.

The Sun newspaper got hold of the exclusive video which shows Rooney and Stoke City defender Bardsley put on boxing gloves and start to have a play fight in the United striker’s kitchen.

After some light sparring the pair started throwing some heavier punches which eventually led to Bardsley catching his former team mate and sending him sprawling to the deck.

The United forward appears to be out cold as he lay motionless on the floor with his head under a chair before the footage cuts out.

An apparent friend who witnessed the fight told reporters:

“Wayne had everybody worried when he hit the floor like that. he made such a thud when he went down. People were scared he had really banged his head and done some lasting damage.”

Rooney is known to be a huge boxing fan and is often seen ringside at many events, but this footage is sure to anger United manager Louis van Gaal as the player is luck he didn’t suffer more serious injuries from the incident.

The striker’s head must have only missed the chair behind him by centimeters when he fell backwards and he could have caused some real damage had he caught it full-on on the way down.

To be fair, it wasn’t exactly the hardest punch from Bardsley. Perhaps stick to football, eh Wayne.

It’s not known exactly when the incident happened but United will hope Rooney’s cleared his head in time for this afternoon’s huge Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
