€20m-Rated Austrian Star Excited By Interest From Arsenal & Man Utd
Austrian defender Aleksandar Dragovic has admitted he’s excited by reports linking him with possible moves to Arsenal and Manchester United this summer
The January transfer window is now closed but that won’t stop the newspapers from speculating ahead of the summer so we’ll bring you all the news and gossip. Today, Aleksandar Dragovic is pleased to be linked with Arsenal and Man Utd…
Austrian defender Aleksandar Dragovic has admitted he’s excited by reports linking him with possible moves to Arsenal and Manchester United this summer, according to reports.
Dragovic joined Dinamo Kiev from FC Basel in 2013 and has been a rock at the back for the Ukrainian side over the past 18 months with his displays in defence helping them win the Ukrainian Cup last season while they’re well on course to winning the league title this campaign.
The 24-year-old’s impressive form has led to interest from Arsenal and Manchester United with reports claiming that the English giants are both lining-up moves having watched the centre-back on several occasions over the past few months.
The Austrian international has now spoken out on the reported interest and has admitted that he’s excited by speculation linking him with the likes of Arsenal and United but insists he has no firm offers on the table just yet.
‘I would be lying if I said it is not something buzzing around in the back of my head. Such a thing I cannot leave cold,’
‘But as long as no concrete offer is on the table, I do not need to deal with it in more detail.
‘I dare to say that I could be in each team (Arsenal and United) and at the same time have a lot of room for improvement.
‘That gives me courage.’ Dragovic is quoted as saying by the Metro
Both Arsene Wenger and Louis van Gaal are expected to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer and Dragovic could be an interesting option as he’s approaching the prime of his career and has room to improve even further.
It remains to be seen whether they decide to make their interest official but if they do, then the Metro suggest it will take an offer in the region of €20m (£15m) to persuade Kiev to cash-in.
