[Tweets] Man Utd Players Taunt Man City On Twitter After Manchester Derby
Several Manchester United players have been taunting their City rivals on Twitter after winning the Manchester derby 4-1. Check out what they’ve been saying
Manchester United moved four points clear of Manchester City after beating their bitter rivals 4-2 at Old Trafford this afternoon.
City started the brighter of the two sides and opened the scoring through Sergio Aguero in the 8th minute but United turned things around before half time thanks to goals from Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini.
Juan Mata then made it 3-1 before Chris Smalling headed home a fourth in the 73rd minute for 4-1. City grabbed a late consolation when Aguero fired home his second of the afternoon but United held on to secure a vital win.
The victory sees United move four points clear of City in the table and close the gap on second placed Arsenal to just one point, so it’s easy to understand why the Red Devils were in buoyant mood after the game.
Several players have taken to Twitter this evening to celebrate the win with Wayne Rooney, David De Gea, Daley Blind, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Juan Mata and Ashley Young all expressing their delight while many of the players also took the opportunity to taunt their rivals by claiming that ‘Manchester is red’ following the result.
