[Tweets] ‘We Deserved More’ – Man Utd Players Bemoan Chelsea Loss On Twitter
Some of the Manchester United players have taken to Twitter to claim they deserved more from yesterday’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United’s long winning streak was ended with a 1-0 defeat to Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The Blues opened the scoring shortly before half-time when Eden Hazard latched on to a clever back-heel from Oscar to race clear and slot through the legs of David De Gea for 1-0.
United enjoyed large amounts of possession after the break and had control of the game but they couldn’t find a way past a resolute Chelsea defence so their six-game winning run came to an abrupt end.
Louis van Gaal told reporters after the game that he pleased with his sides performance and it seems the players also feel they were a little unfortunate not to leave the capital with at least a point.
Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw have all taken to Twitter to express their disappointment at the result with all three players claiming that United ‘deserved more’ from the game.
The loss still leaves United in third place in the table but Manchester City can cut the gap to just one point if they beat West Ham at the Etihad this afternoon.
