Players from Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool dominate the latest England squad….
Liverpool striker Danny Ings and Tottenham midfielder Deli Alli have been named in Roy Hodgson’s 24-man squad for England’s upcoming double header.
Ings has enjoyed an excellent start to his career at Anfield following his move from Burnley in the summer and he’s been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the England squad ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania.
The striker joins Liverpool team-mates Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and James Milner in the squad.
Alli is another who’s been in superb form in recent weeks having forced his way in to the Tottenham starting eleven and Hodgson has given the youngster a senior call-up after watching him in action for Spurs in their last three games.
Alli joins Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane in the squad but there is no place for the likes of Danny Rose, Eric Dier or Andros Townsend.
There is also no place in the squad for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge as Hodgson has decided to rest him and allow him to work on his fitness after only just returning from a hip operation.
Arsenal have three representatives with Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott all named in the 24-man squad but Jack Wilshere once again misses out due to injury.
Manchester United have four players in the squad with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney all selected while Chelsea’s sole representative is defender Gary Cahill.
Everton once again have a strong presence with Phil Jagielka, John Stones and Ross Barkley all chosen while Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy retains his place after an excellent start to the season.
