Tottenham Team News: Key Quartet To Miss Liverpool Game But Defender To Return
Mauricio Pochettino has given a team news and injury update ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Liverpool and a key quartet have been ruled out of the game
Premier League football returns this weekend as Tottenham Hotspur entertain Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime.
Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been in front of the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and has given TottenhamHotspur.com a team news and injury update.
The Spurs boss confirmed that four of his key men are set to miss the game with Eric Dier, Heung-Min Son, Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason all ruled out of the match.
Dier has been ever present for Tottenham so far this season having started every game in all competitions but unfortunately the England youngster will be forced to sit this one out after being handed a one-match ban following his fifth booking of the campaign.
Bentaleb hasn’t played since late August due to an ankle injury while Mason has also been on the sidelines with a knee injury that he picked up against Sunderland in mid-September.
The duo are back in training and edging closer to full fitness but the visit of Liverpool on Saturday will come just too soon for the midfielder pair.
They’ll be joined on the sidelines by summer signing Son who’s continuing to nurse a foot injury that he picked up during Spurs 4-1 win over Manchester City, while Alex Pritchard is working his way back to fitness after undergoing surgery on a troublesome ankle injury.

However, there is some more positive news on Danny Rose as the defender is available for selection after recovering from a hand injury that kept him out of Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Swansea two weeks ago.
