Arsenal beat Everton 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday evening to move top of the Premier League table thanks to first half goals from Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny.
Here are my ratings from the game:
Cech 8/10 | Another excellent display from the Czech international. His late save to deny Deulofeu earned us the full three points.
Bellerin 7/10 | Got forward on numerous occasions and dealt well against the threat of Deulofeu.
Gabriel 8/10 | Back in the side and was a rock at the back. Made a superb last ditch tackle to stop Lukaku bearing down at goal.
Koscielny 7.5/10 | Got what turned out to be the winning goal as he headed home from close range. Strong display at the back too.
Monreal 7/10 | Kept Lennon quiet and got forward to support the attack. Reliable as ever.
Coquelin 7/10 | Another mature performance from Coquelin. Broke up play and distributed well.
Cazorla 7/10 | Superb delivery set-up the Koscielny goal. Pulled the strings from midfield once again.
Oxlade-Chamberlain 6/10 | Partially at fault for the goal as he lost possession high up the pitch allowing Everton to break away to score. However, he was a threat at times and put in a couple of dangerous crosses.
Ozil 9/10 | Outstanding. Lovely ball teed-up Giroud for the opener and he ran the show for much of the game. Hit the post late on too.
Sanchez 6.5/10 | Not up to his best and he did look a little jaded. Should get a well deserved rest in midweek.
Giroud 8/10 | A real handful up top. Worked hard, showed some great hold-up play and got his rewards with a well-deserved goal.
Subs:
Flamini 6/10 | Squandered a golden chance to get a third as he headed straight at Howard.
Gibbs N/A
So another vital three points in the bag and we sit top of the league ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday. I’ll be rooting for a draw…..
